The Wichita Jr. Thunder went into the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Plano, TX and swept three games from Dallas Snipers.

The Jr. Thunder struck five times in the first period Thursday night with three of the goals coming in a span of 3:29. David Good, Dylan McDonald and Henrik Igel scored in quick succession.

Good, playing his first game of the season, collected two goals and two assists in his return to the Wichita lineup.  Igel and Patrick Tondl also found the net twice in the game and Zach Balodis had a goal and three assists.

Wichita’s Adam Conkling took a shutout in to the third period before the Snipers put three on the board for a 7-3 final on Friday.

Peter Cicmanec (2-1-3) and Jack McClelland (1-2-3) each had three-point games for the Jr. Thunder.

Good (3-2-4) and Oskar Gullstrom (2-4-6) led the Wichita attack in Saturday’s 9-1 win with Lanny Blitt stopping 16 of 17 for his first win of the season.

John Welk scored  his first ever junior goal and Brady Weiss made 45 saves for Dallas.
