The Dallas Snipers and Tulsa Jr. Oilers entered their series tied for fourth place in the Mid-West Division.  Dallas took two of the three games to give themselves the inside track on home ice in the first round of the playoffs.

The Snipers came back from a 3-0 deficit to post a 4-3 win in Friday’s series opener.  Two goals 44 seconds apart late in the third period tied the score, then Daniel Nordlander scored with 46 seconds left to win the game in regulation – denying Tulsa an extra point in the standings.

Sam Mancini scored two goals for the Jr. Oilers.

Tulsa came back win a one-goal win of their own on Saturday.  Bogdan Shleev’s second period tally held up as the game-winner and Philip Babb came on in relief to make 26 saves and earn the win.

Dallas scored three times in the first period of Sunday’s game, sparking them to a 5-3 victory and a key series win.

Michael Tugo was one of five Dallas players to light the lamp.  He also picked up a pair of assists and Alexander Moustakis made 32 saves to pick up the win for the Snipers.

Scott Coash, Jr. scored all three Tulsa goals.
