Svensson nets hat trick, leads Dallas Snipers to 5-2 win over Wichita Jr. Thunder

Erik Svensson netted a hat trick to lead Dallas Snipers over Wichita Jr. Thunder, 5-2. 

Svensson got on the scoresheet 10:09 into the second period. He then added goals at 16:32 into the second and at 9:35 into the third. 

Dallas Snipers' offense rang up 32 shots on Wichita Jr. Thunder's net. Dallas Snipers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. 

Dallas Snipers additionally got points from Carl Sandsten, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Dallas Snipers also got a goal from Price Dworin as well. In addition, Dallas Snipers received assists from Peter Kutlak and Trent Williams, who each chipped in one and Justin Becton and Alexander Yunanov, who contributed two each. 

Wichita Jr. Thunder kept Dallas Snipers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Renauld Gaboury made 31 saves on 33 shots. Wichita Jr. Thunder struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. 

Wichita Jr. Thunder was led by Patrik Janac, who registered two goals. Janac scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 9:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wichita Jr. Thunder. Wichita Jr. Thunder had gotten the advantage when Dallas Snipers' Gaboury was sent off for delay of game. Matt McClelland assisted on the tally. Janac's next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 Dallas Snipers with 5:19 left in the third period. A cross checking penalty on Becton had put Wichita Jr. Thunder on the power play. Tom Lindstrom picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Wichita Jr. Thunder were Alex Smith and Peter Cicmanec, who each chipped in one. 

Wichita Jr. Thunder's Jake Larson stopped 27 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Wichita Jr. Thunder registered two goals on seven power play opportunities.
