Snipers Travel to Wichita

The Dallas Snipers sit alone in the cellar of the Midwestern Division, eight points behind the next team.

The bright spot for this team this year has been watching forwards Alexander Yunanov and Peter Kutlak chase franchise records in scoring categories.

The four-year veteran Yunanov (6-11-17 on the year) now has 131 career points and sits atop the franchise category, just four points and growing ahead of #2 Shane Bonds.  Kutlak is 22 points (109 total) back in 45 fewer games in his third season with Dallas.

Yunanov’s 57 goals sits five back from Bonds on the all-time franchise list with Kutlak (6-13-19 on the year) climbing with 37 goals total.

Both players are chasing Justin Becton (also the team’s PIM leader with 640) for the franchise leader in assists. Yunanov’s 74 puts him second, and Kutlak’s 72 third, behind Becton’s 79 total.

Before the season ends, Yunanov will likely take over as the career games played leader for the Snipers.

Dallas has a full dance card in the upcoming weeks with tilts against Mid-West Division rivals Wichita, Springfield, and Tulsa before heading to the Las Vegas shootout where they hope to snipe a couple wins.
