Snipers Sign Swedish D
The Dallas Snipers are excited to announce the signing of Defensemen Daniel Nordlander. Last season, Nordlander played in the J20 Division 1 junior league, before making the jump to the Super Elite League. The offensive defensemen will be looking to help turn around a Snipers Power Play, after the team finished 24th in the league last season.
Nordlander, a native of Sweden has been called up to the SuperElit League twice in the past two seasons. While he hasn’t been in the SuperElit League, he has been producing almost a point per game at the J20 Division 1 junior level. Last season in 12 games played he had 6 goals and 5 assists. He has 4 games played at the J20 SuperElit League the past two seasons.
“Daniel is going to help our club immediately this upcoming season. He is a smooth skating, good puck handling defensemen. His skating abilities help him out while he is in tough situations. Another thing he has is experience at the highest level of junior hockey in Sweden. He is going to get lots of on ice, but also a ton of great off ice training as well with our great staff at Severyn Sports Inc.,” stated Coach Davis.
The Snipers open up against the Springfield Express on October 2 at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Plano, Texas. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults! September 14, starts training camp as well! Don’t miss your chance to get back into the action!
