Snipers Sign Forward
The Dallas Snipers would like to announce the signing of forward Jason Moore. Jason has been a Snipers prospect since the start of last season. Jason came to Snipers open camp in the summer of 2013 looking to make the team as a 17 year old. Jason came up short in his first try at a junior team, but the Snipers liked what they had seen from him and maybe with a little more work he could have good potential. So he took what Coach Davis had told him and went straight to work. Last season he was a key contributor to his hockey club in Odessa by being one of their go to guys. He has become a more polished player in one year.
When Jason was asked about what he was most looking forward to he said, “I am looking forward to playing with a new team and seeing new faces. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the team from last season and it really looks like Coach Davis has the program turned around”. Davis lost seven of his top ten scorers from last season, so he will really need to have some of his younger players step up and give him so depth scoring. “I can’t wait to contribute to the team next season weather it is scoring goals, battling in corners, or blocking shots.” Moore stated.
Jason played for the Odessa Jr. Jackalopes 18U AA team during the 2103/2014 season. He went on to be a key component to the team’s offense. Putting up 25 points in this past season grew his confidence and showing how all the hard work is paying off. Jason is a recent graduate from Permian High School in Odessa, Texas where Jason graduated with a 3.4 GPA.
The entire Snipers family wants to welcome Jason to Dallas, and to our program. Training camp starts in a little more than 28 days, get ready for Snipers hockey.
