Snipers Return Canadian Goaltender

The Dallas Snipers of the Western States Hockey League are proud to announce the re-signing of Goalie, Brady Weiss. After an offseason full of training, Weiss looks too come in a compete for the starters job as a 17-year-old. This will be his second season of juniors. Brady will be arriving in Dallas in early September, and will be ready to hit the ice with the team for training camp.

When asked about why he decided to return, Weiss had this to say. “Last season I fell in love with Texas. My teammates, coaches, fans, the facility and my billet parents Brenda and Jon were all first class. It was an easy decision to come back.” It was also an easy decision for the Coaching Staff to bring Brady back for the upcoming season. “Brady has a big frame, brings great technique, and the attitude every coach wants in his players. It was an absolute no brainier to re-sign Brady,” stated Head Coach Aaron Davis.

This will be the 17-year-old second season with the club. Last season as a rookie, Brady played in 10 of the 52 games and Weiss exceeded expectations.  “As a first year eligible junior player we expected Brady to come in and learn from our starter and when presented with an opportunity make the most of it and that’s what he did that and much more. After having goalie injuries to our two older goalies, Brady got an opportunity to show us what he could do and it was impressive,” stated Coach Jaskiewicz.

For Brady the goal is simple for next season. “Work hard every day, stay focused, and be a wall for my team. I am looking forward to being a Vet and leading by example,” he stated. Brady and his teammates take the ice September 6, 2016 for the opening day of training camp.
