Snipers Return Big Swedish Center Salomon Aberg
The Dallas Snipers of the Western States Hockey League are proud to announce return of center Salomon Aberg for the upcoming season. Aberg signed with Snipers in February at the trade deadline after his AAA season ended in California. The Swedish native will begin his third season in North America this upcoming fall. Sal becomes the second player to return alongside defenseman, Nick Pehl.
Aberg, 19, skated in 8 regular-season games for the Snipers during the 2017-2018 season. Last season he posted (2) points (1-1=2). Both came against the Springfield Express the final weekend of the season. Before Dallas, Sal played for the San Jose Jr Sharks U18 AAA program last season in the Tier 1 Elite League. He played for the Sharks U18 AA program the previous season, his first in the US. This will be his third season in the States.
Here is what Snipers GM and Head Coach Aaron Davis had to say about his newest returner
“The first thing you notice about Sal is his size. I haven’t had the opportunity to work with a center his size since I have arrived here in Dallas, so getting him here for a full season is exciting. His role will expand this year. He’s got a good taste of what to expect from our division after playing with us at the end of the year. We are excited to get him back.”
