Snipers lose showcase game 2
Blazers (6) Snipers (2)
The Bellingham Blazers and the Dallas Snipers met for the first time in franchise history at the Western States Showcase. This game was played at the Sobe Arena in Las Vegas. The Blazers came out ready to play and the Snipers had no energy the first half of the game once again. Coach Davis summed up the first half of the game in one word. “Embarrassing.” The Snipers trailed Bellingham 5-0 after the first 25-minute half. Manny Legace Jr. started the game and stopped 13 of 18 in the first half. Then also came back in late in the 2nd due to an illness for Brady Weiss. Where he stopped all 4 shots he faced.
The Snipers came out in the 2nd half of the game with some energy. Snipers newly acquired defensemen Cooper Dibiase made a pass to Danil Trenikhin who made a great pass cross crease to Snipers newly acquired forward Taner Byrd for his first goal of the season. Then 4 minutes later, Trevor Borlace scored but Bellingham scored 1 minute later and sealed the game for the Blazers. Weiss started the 2nd half before leaving with an illness making 10 saves on 11 shots.
Another game where you saw no production from the top line of Vasicek, Hladonik, and Cooper. The Snipers are now 0-2 at the showcase and have a chance to be swept for the first time ever while attending the showcase if they don’t win against the Casper Coyotes tomorrow. Sobe Arena 12:30 vs. Casper.
