Snipers Ink Two
The Dallas Snipers of the Western States Tier II Hockey League would like to announce two more signings. The Snipers have signed Forward Andrew Pitts and Forward Geoff George for the upcoming 2015 – 2016 season. Pitts played for McKinney High School down in Dallas this past season. George played in the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League.
Last season Andrew Pitts played for the Texas State Champions McKinney High School. His team won a bid to the National Championship Tournament. Pitts (97) will be suiting up for the Snipers as this will be his first season playing junior hockey. In 16 regular season games last year Pitts had 2 goals, 8 assists for 10 points while logging 29 PIMS.
George played his first year of junior hockey with the Philadelphia Revolution in the METJHL. Chandler Bedwell and George were teammates last season. George was a bright spot on a team that struggled. He was tied on the team with most games (42), third on the team in points with 15 (7goals, 8 assists) and he only logged 20 PIMS. “Geoff is a young kid with lots of speed. Last year, he learned the way junior hockey is played. He got lots of ice and played in every situation and he doesn’t take lots of penalties .He has been in all situations, that makes it a no brainer for me to have a kid like this represent our program down here in Dallas,” stated Coach Jaskiewicz.
The Snipers would like to welcome both players to the organization! The Snipers open October 2 – 4 against the Springfield Express at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Plano. Tickets are $3 for Students and $5 for Adults.
