Snipers Ink Goalie

Dallas, TX - The Dallas Snipers along with Head Coach Aaron Davis are excited to announce the signing of Goaltender Drew Stuve. Drew becomes the first signee for Head Coach Aaron Davis as well as the first import that the Snipers have signed.

Stuve a native of Edson, Alberta played his first season of Juniors last year with the Stony Plain Flyers of the Capital Junior Hockey League. In 9 games last season Stuve faced over 37 shots per game. Davis said, "He brings experience which should help him compete for the starting job." Stuve states " The fans can expect a full 60 minute game from me." When asked what would be something that Drew would be looking forward to he said " I am excited to live in the weather, it will be nice to get out of the snow for a year."

One of the top priorities for the  Snipers during the 2014 offseason was to find a goaltender. Last season goalies Emil Eriksson and Steffen Muller have both aged out. The Snipers have done that today by signing Stuve. " He has great size at 6'2 195 pounds, great side to side movement and excellent technique." Davis said.

When asked what was his goal for the season Drew had this to say "My goal for the season is to improve my game but my main goal is to do whatever it takes to get a win for the team." The Dallas Snipers are looking forward to continue to build off this signing and are excited to welcome Drew Stuve to Dallas. Drew said" I'd like to thank my family and my best buds back up in Canada."

Stuve also not only becomes the first signee of the offseason for Coach Davis and his staff, but he becomes the first ever Sniper ever to be announced prior to the start of the season. Welcome Drew Stuve to Dallas everyone!
