Snipers Head to Rhino Country

DALLAS SNIPERS (2-5-2, 6 pts)

The Snipers of Dallas are in the midst of a six-game losing streak after opening the season winning two of their first three.

Goalie Alexander Moustakis stopped 90 shots over the course of the first two games, but the Oklahoma City Blazers proved too much for Dallas, taking all three games from them.

Peter Kutlak contributed a 1-3-4 line over the weekend, bringing his team lead totals to 4-11-15 after nine games.

Alexander Yunanov also tallied a goal which leaves him just five goals from passing franchise leader in goals, Shane Bonds who now pots the puck for the University of Central Oklahoma.

Yunanov (126) and Kutlak (105) should both pass Bonds (127) for the franchise’s all-time leader in points this season.

Both Kutlak (70) and Yunanov (69) are also racing to overtake Justin Becton’s (also at UCOK) 79 assists atop the franchise’s record books. And it won’t be long before Yunanov cements himself as one of Dallas’ all-time great players when he surpasses Michael Mistantonis (now at University of North Texas) in games played – in fact it will be just 17 more games before Yunanov becomes the Snipers’ leader in GP.

The Team will head out to El Paso for their Home Opener this weekend. The Rhinos are off too a 6-0-0 start and look incredibly strong. It will be a tough task for the club.
