Snipers Go 1-2-1 In Las Vegas

The Snipers end their 6th Las Vegas Showcase with a record of 1-2-1. The Snipers through 31 games played are 3-24-4. The Snipers finally snapped there losing streak with a 4-3 win in OT against the Seattle Totems. Captain Sterling Cooper took a shot that went 5 hole in OT to give his club their 3rd win of the season.

Sunday – 8:00 AM – Utah Outliners – Lost 2-1

The Snipers opened the showcase against the Utah Outliners formerly known as the Salt Lake City Moose.  After the 2-1 loss, this year in Las Vegas their record against each other is 3-3-0 all time. Snipers newcomer, Imanol Lasuen scored his first goal with the club after blocking a shot in the defensive zone he sprung himself on a breakaway and slide the puck 5 hole to tie the game at 1-1.

Monday – 7:45 AM – Butte Cobras – Lost 7-2

This was the first ever meeting between the two franchises. Butte took control of the game early and never looked back as they cruised to a 7-2 lead. Matt Stewart came into the game for Brady Weiss and played outstanding. Harri Koll and Petr Panacek both scored twice to help lead the charge for Butte.

Tuesday – 2:30 PM – Seattle Totems – Won 4-3

Sterling Cooper missed his team win twice in Vail their first weekend due to an injury. Since his return to the lineup the team has struggled to find the net. Since he returned after that weekend the club struggled going 0-23-3-0. 42 seconds into the overtime period, Captain Cooper put a shot five hole and scored to snap the losing streak. Alex Moustakis earned his second win of the season.

Wednesday – 8:00 AM – Fresno Monsters – Lost 4-3 OT

Defenseman Andres Kato had a huge game in the first ever franchise meeting between Fresno and Dallas.  The Defensemen who had recently come off an injury in late November scored two goals with his slap shot from the blue line.  Alex Moustakis took the OTL.

 

The Snipers first series of the new year will be against the Springfield Express January 6-8, 2017 in Plano at the Dr. Pepper Star Center. For the most recent updates check the snipers twitter feed!
