Snipers Face Jr Oiler This Weekend

The Dallas Snipers will be heading to Oklahoma to face the Tulsa Jr. Oilers. This will be the first meeting of the season between the two clubs. The Snipers will also return to Tulsa in early December before the League Showcase.

The Snipers went 2 – 1 – 0 to open their season in Vail, Colorado. The Snipers were led by Forward TJ Wisegarver. He put up 6 points in 3 games over the weekend. “He has a great shot, and likes the physical side of the game. He likes to mix it up and he is a good hockey player,” stated Davis. Last season Wisegarver came to Dallas mid-way through the season from the U16 HC Dallas program.

Latvian forward Ingus Matins helped lead the charge by scoring a breakaway goal to score the first goal of the season for the club. The 6’3 190 pound Forward begins his 4th season in North America after playing in the MNJHL, NA3HL, and the GMHL. “Ingus brings a hard shot and we will look for him to be a power forward for our club. This season we have set high expectations for Ingus and he understands that,” stated Jaskiewicz.

The Snipers will look to continue their success this weekend in Tulsa. Check the Snipers website after the weekend for the weekend recap against Tulsa.
