Snipers beat Casper in Showcase Game 3

In the teams seven seasons in Dallas, the Snipers have never been swept during the Vegas showcase. This season was also the first season that the teams in the WSHL would only play 3 game schedules instead of 4 games like they have had in showcase history. This season they were in jeopardy as the had lost the first two games and were heavily out worked.
The Snipers goaltending showed up big time again as Rafa Goncalvas pitched a shut out in the first half of the game making 27 saves in 25 minutes of work. That would conclude his play time in Vegas as he made 43 saves on 44 shots in 50 minutes. Jaroslav Vasicek and Trevor Borlace scored for the Snipers in the 1st half while Arvidas Domeika added 2 assists and Cooper Dibiase added an assist as well.
Evan Williams started in the 2nd half for the Snipers as he made 21 saves on 23 shots. He had a great showcase as well stopping 38 of 42, giving him a 90.5 save percentage. Pistek, Eaton, and Borlace once again scored in the 2nd half and the Snipers won the final game in Vegas by a score of 5-2 vs the Casper Coyotes. Blake Elliott added his first point in his Snipers campaign. The team snapped their 3-game losing streak. The Snipers end their showcase going 1-2. The team sits 4th in the Mid-West Division.
