Pestuka nets hat trick, leads El Paso Rhinos to 8-1 win over Dallas Snipers

Dallas Snipers could not stop El Paso Rhinos' Jiri Pestuka, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-1 win. 

Pestuka notched his first tally 10:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:44 into the second and at 3:19 into the third. 

The game was close after the first frame, but El Paso Rhinos banged in three goals during the second period to put the victory out of reach for Dallas Snipers. 

Dallas Snipers' power play was ineffective against El Paso Rhinos' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. 

El Paso Rhinos' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on nine Dallas Snipers power plays. El Paso Rhinos kept Dallas Snipers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Alex Moustakis made 32 saves on 40 shots. El Paso Rhinos also had goals scored by Jordan Cullum and Jeramy Rezaeepour, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for El Paso Rhinos were David Brancik, who had two, Bryton Tomko, who had three, and Patrick Gleason, Brennan Johnsson, Lukas Znosko, Kendal Craig, Gavin Abbott, and Jonah Pearson, who each chipped in one. 

Dallas Snipers could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Dallas Snipers averages 4.2 goals per game. Penalties took their toll on Dallas Snipers, as its penalty kill unit let in two power play goals. 

El Paso Rhinos' Adam Vay stopped 17 shots out of the 18 that he faced. Dallas Snipers ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Dallas Snipers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Justin Becton was ejected from the game.
