Oklahoma City Blazers beats Dallas Snipers 7-5 after comeback scare

Oklahoma City Blazers survived a determined comeback attempt by Dallas Snipers on the way to a 7-5 win. 

Oklahoma City Blazers took a 6-2 lead during the third period, only to have Dallas Snipers storm back on a Ryan White goal 7:34 into the third period to pull to two goals down. 

Matthew Audette was all over the ice for Oklahoma City Blazers, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Audette scored the first of his two goals at 3:21 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Oklahoma City Blazers. Lubos Vacek picked up the assist. Audette's next tally made the score 7-4 Oklahoma City Blazers with 11:03 left in the third period. Colton Nelson provided the assist. 

Oklahoma City Blazers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Dallas Snipers power plays. Oklahoma City Blazers kept Dallas Snipers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Drew Stuve made 37 saves on 44 shots. Oklahoma City Blazers' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. 

Oklahoma City Blazers also got points from Kirill Romanov, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Oklahoma City Blazers included Dylan Lamontagne, Drake Johnson, Kole Hudson, and Matt Levene, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Oklahoma City Blazers were Jared Guffey and Zac Houck, who contributed one each and Dominik Vlk and Petr Kobes, who each chipped in three. 

Dallas Snipers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Oklahoma City Blazers to score on any of its four power plays. 

Dallas Snipers was led by Erik Svensson, who finished with two goals and two assists. Svensson scored the first of his two goals at 5:44 into the third period to make the score 6-3 Oklahoma City Blazers. Jason Moore assisted on the tally. Svensson's next tally made the score 7-5 Oklahoma City Blazers with 4:18 left in the third period. Justin Becton picked up the assist. Dallas Snipers additionally got points from Carl Sandsten, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Dallas Snipers also got a goal from Alexander Yunanov as well. 

Braden Lajoie recorded 24 saves for Oklahoma City Blazers. Oklahoma City Blazers incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Dallas Snipers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
