Mid-West Division Preview vs. Thunder

The struggling Dallas Snipers, losers of 10 consecutive games, were swept again last weekend, this time at the hands of the El Paso Rhinos.

Dallas’ offense performed better than it had been, netting 11 goals in three games, but it was not enough as the Rhinos were able to consistently penetrate the Snipers’ defense.

The Snipers can no longer earn home ice in the first round of the playoffs. Their first-round series will be against Wichita, El Paso, or Tulsa, though Wichita seems to be the favorite at this point.

Of Dallas’ six remaining games, three will be played at home next week while the other three will be in Oklahoma City against the Blazers.

Alexander Yunanov (18-24-42) needs eight points this weekend to join Michael Tugo (29-30-59) as the only Snipers who have reached the 50-point mark on the year.

Dallas will close out the home portion of its schedule this weekend with a three-game series against Wichita, a team against which it has gone 1-4-0-1 this season.
