Criswell lifts Dallas Ice Jets over Dallas Snipers, 8-3

Dallas Ice Jets relied on the scoring touch of Alex Criswell, who netted two goals, to beat Dallas Snipers, 8-3. 

Criswell found the back of the net 6:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dallas Ice Jets and again while on the power play 11:59 into the second to make the score 4-2 Dallas Ice Jets. 

Dallas Ice Jets' penalty kill excelled, as Dallas Ice Jets gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays. 

Dallas Ice Jets forced Dallas Snipers' goaltenders to work without much rest, firing 35 shots and forcing 27 saves. Emil Eriksson made 17 stops and Aleksandrs Bebriss-Fedotovs made 10. Dallas Ice Jets stifled Dallas Snipers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Dallas Ice Jets surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Dallas Ice Jets averages 4.3 goals per game. Dallas Ice Jets' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Dallas Ice Jets finished with 32 penalty minutes. 

Dallas Ice Jets also got points from Bryan Siersma, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Chris Schutz, who also registered two goals and two assists to lead the team in points, Ondrej Valo, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Johnny Henson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Luke Simon, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Dallas Ice Jets received assists from Spencer Roth, Byron Carlisle, and Ryan Cutter, who each chipped in one and Scott Folden and Dmitry Kuznetsov, who contributed two a piece. 

Dallas Snipers' offense was handcuffed by Dallas Ice Jets' defensive play, and Dallas Snipers managed only 12 shots on goal during the game. 

Dallas Snipers was helped by Zach Lawson, who racked up one goal. Lawson scored 19:15 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Matthew Jaskiewicz picked up the assist. Dallas Snipers also had goals scored by Tyler Tews and Shane Bonds, who each put in one. More assists for Dallas Snipers came via Jesse Buchholz and Emil Melin, who each chipped in one.
