The Dallas Snipers of the Western States Tier II Hockey League are proud to announce the signing of Goalie Brady Weiss. Last season, Weiss played with the Maple Leaf Athletic Club out of Alberta, in Canada. This will be Brady’s first season in a Snipers uniform. “This has been a great off season and I have been working incredibly hard to prepare for this season,” stated Brady.
Brady is set to begin his first season of junior hockey, after playing Midget Minor last season. In 20 games played last season posting an 8-8-4 record. He had a GAA of 3.8 and a save percentage of 89%. He faced over 800 shots last year averaging 40 shots per game with 1 shutout.
“Brady attended the Calgary Canucks camp earlier this summer and really impressed our coaching staff. He is a young kid with good size at 6’2. He has calmness to him and he slows the game down. It is really impressive. I have never seen a goalie be able to produce it on a constant basis. I am super excited to have him coming to Dallas this season,” stated Coach Jaskiewicz.
Brady becomes the second goalie to sign with club, alongside Swedish Goalie Alexander Pihl. He becomes the 13th player to sign with the club for the upcoming season. The Snipers open their season on October 2nd at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Plano. Check back for more signings within the next few days!
