Arizona Redhawks vanquishes Dallas Snipers in shootout, 5-4 (2-1 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Arizona Redhawks defeated Dallas Snipers in a shootout 5-4 (2-1 SO). 

The two teams needed six turns to complete the shootout. Dallas Snipers' shootout goal was scored by Alexander Lehnbom. Arizona Redhawks' other shootout goal was scored by Anton Melin. 

Arizona Redhawks came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. Arizona Redhawks trailed 4-1 after a goal by Dallas Snipers' Emil Melin at 23:33 in the first period. Arizona Redhawks knotted things up at 4-4 on a power play goal by Mitch Cobby at 24:03 in the second period. 

Cobby was all over the ice for Arizona Redhawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Cobby scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 13:35 into the second period to make the score 4-3 Dallas Snipers. Arizona Redhawks earned a power play opportunity when Matthew Jaskiewicz was put in the box for roughing. Mattias Marten provided the assist. Cobby's next tally on the power play made the score with -243 seconds left in the second period. Arizona Redhawks had taken the advantage when Dallas Snipers' Aaron Krominga got sent off for high sticking. Sebastian Viding assisted on the tally. 

Arizona Redhawks forced Dallas Snipers goalie Aleksandrs Bebriss-Fedotovs to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. 

Arizona Redhawks also had goals scored by Melin and Chance Taylor, who scored one goal each. 

Dallas Snipers was helped by Lehnbom, who tallied one goal. Lehnbom scored 3:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dallas Snipers. Others who scored for Dallas Snipers included Jesse Buchholz and Tyler Tews, who each put in one. More assists for Dallas Snipers came via Zach Lawson, who had two and Shane Bonds and Keiran Spettie, who each chipped in one. 

Colton Pankiw made 25 saves for Arizona Redhawks on 29 shots. Arizona Redhawks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Bebriss-Fedotovs recorded 32 saves for Dallas Snipers. Dallas Snipers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
