Alexander Pihl Signs with Snipers

The Dallas Snipers are excited to announce the signing of Goaltender Alexander Pihl from Halmstad, Sweden. This season will be Alexander’s first season in North America. He was born in 1996, giving him two years left of junior eligibility. Alex becomes the first goalie to sign with the Snipers for this upcoming season.

For the last 3 season’s Alexander has gone back and forth between the J18 Division 1 and J20 Division 1. Over the last three seasons he has played 29 games at the J18 Level accumulating a 4.89 GAA and a save percentage of 86%, on a struggling J18 team. He was one of the bright spots. He has had a lot of successes at the J20 Level over the last few years. He’s played in 7 games while posting a 2.88 goals against average and a save percentage of 89%.  Last season was cut short due to an injury.

Coach Jaskiewicz had this to say about Alexander. “Alexander’s style of play is almost identical to former Sniper net minder Emil Eriksson. He has great footwork that helps him get from side to side with ease. He is a hard working kid, and great teammate, I think he will fit in perfect with the players we have brought in for this fall.”

Coach Davis and Coach Jaskiewicz would like to welcome Alexander to Dallas. He will be training back home in Halmstad, Sweden until the Snipers open training camp in September. Welcome to Dallas Alexander! Check back in for more Snipers signings all summer long.
